Elderly Man Fatally Injured by Bull

Steele, ND Sept 17,  Mr. Burrell the aged grandfather of William E. Burrell of Allen, while walking through the cattle yard approached near to a bull, probably to stroke the animal which is of the gentlest disposition.  While standing near him Mr. Burrell was knocked down by the bull injuring his head and in walking away the animal stepped on Mr. Burells left shoulder and probably inflicted an internal injury.

As Mr. Burrell was close to eighty five years old and in feeble condition the shock was severe, and he sank steadily and in spite of all efforts succumbed to the shock. Bismarck Tribune Friday September 18, 1914
