Sargent County cities are those of Cayuga, Cogswell, Forman, Gwinner, Havana, Brampton, Milnor, and Rutland.  Forman is the county seat.  Unincorporated community of Stirum.

In 1997 the Brampton Lutheran Church (originally built in 1908) was moved to Sletta near Rady in Norway and reconstructed there. It is now called Emigrantkirka (Emigrant Church).
