Sam Lavoe, left White Earth, Ward county on a load of lumber for home.  When a short distance out Lavoe fell from the wagon and one of the wheels passed over his body, about midway.  He was hastily transferred to a light conveyance but was dead before getting back to White Earth. Hand Car Fatal Accident

G. Mahas, a Greek section hand of White Earth was riding on the front of a hand car near Purdon, a siding west of White Earth, in some unknown manner fell off and was run over by the car, and died thirty minutes later.  County Coroner Brigham of Ross, held an inquest and the jury's verdict was "accidental death."  The remains were buried in White Earth. Illegal Sale of Liquor
W. P. Pierow, formerly of Minot, and Harry Brown, are in trouble at Stanley. They are charged with the illegal sale of liquor. The Ward County Independent November 21, 1912

Not Sending Children to School
Gerhard Peterson was fined 16.60 at Stanley for falling to send his three minor children to school. The Ward County Independent November 21, 1912

Operating a Gambling House
Charlie Brown of Ross is charged with operating a gambling house and was bound over to district court. The Ward County Independent November 21, 1912

Arrested for Pigging
George Connors was arrested at Stanley charged with pigging. His case will be considered in district court. In the meantime, he is out under $500 bonds. The Ward County Independent November 21, 1912

Lightening Victim
Edinburg, ND Jul 9, Funeral services were held here at 1:30 this afternoon for John H. Jamieson killed by lightening at Parshall last week.  The deceased was engaged in the banking business in Edinburg 14 years ago and was employed as Edinburg Station agent ten years before going to the Berthold reservation to file on a homestead.
