Struck by Lightening

On the farm of G. A. Ward fifteen miles northeast of Rugby, a laborer by the name of Louis Johnson was struck by lightning and barely escaped death and three horses were killed.  Johnson was sleeping in the hay loft of the barn and thinking the house near by had been struck got up to look out and was hit and fell to the floor about twelve feet where he lay in an unconscious condition for about an hour before he was discovered.  He was badly shocked and remained unconscious when he was discovered. Holdup at Rugby
