Handcar Accident
Elling Saxbaug. section foreman on the Great Northern at Crary, was instantly killed Tuesday evening just as the work of the day had been finished. The crew had made the trip into Crary on a handcar, and as Saxbaug alighted from the car he was struck by the handlebar, breaking his neck. Death was instantaneous. The deceased was 28 years of age, and is survived by a brother living at Edmore, one at Grafton and another in Minneapolis. A sister lives at Hope. The remains were shipped to Fergus Falls for burial. The deceased was a brother of Mrs. Stark, of this city. Hope Pioneer March 26, 1903
