WANTS THE GIRL BACK
S. O. Wagenius of Holmes City, Minn., has been at Ft Yates days in an endeavor to obtain a little girl, the daughter of a Mrs. Travisen.  who was formerly an Inmate of a house of ill-repute in Bismarck. It seems that nine years ago the mother gave the child to a family named Klintberg in this county. The father died and the family removed to Minnesota.  Three years ago the mother of the child was married to a half breed on the reservation and in June of this year she took the child from the possession of the family in Minnesota and brought her to this city and from here to Fort Yates. Various claims are made with reference to the case, but It is claimed the Klintbergs never legally adopted the child and, if so, it will be difficult to take her from her mother.
